The last time we saw the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers face off, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was obliterated by safety Vonn Bell. It came on the heels of Smith-Schuster dancing on the Bengals’ midfield logo, something that’s hard to see him trying again.
This time, Smith-Schuster was knocked out of the game with a rib injury.
It’s unclear with Smith-Schuster was injured in the Week 3 clash of AFC North rivals. He caught two passes for 22 yards in the first half before the team’s third quarter announcement that he was ruled out with a rib injury.
In nine career games (including today) vs. the Bengals, Smith-Schuster has just one 100+ yard game and three total touchdowns. He’s been held under 50 yards five times.
With Smith-Schuster not making an impact, Pittsburgh was able to muster up just seven points in the first 51 minutes.
Meanwhile, Bengals rookie receiver Ja’Marr Chase is already making history.
