The Cincinnati Bengals have unveiled their first injury report of the 2021 season, and it features just one player unable to practice.
Starting cornerback Trae Waynes, who has already been ruled out for Week 1 vs. the Minnesota Vikings, was the only player who did not practice today due to his hamstring injury.
No players were limited today, while backups Trey Hill (hip) and Mitchell Wilcox (concussion) were listed as full participants. Wilcox is working his way back from a concussion suffered in the Bengals’ preseason finale.
On the Vikings’ side, the big injury to watch is with star linebacker Anthony Barr, who was limited today as he works his way back from a knee injury that’s been plaguing him since August 5th. The four-time Pro Bowl selection reportedly has a 50-50 chance of playing this week, according to ESPN reporter Courtney Cronin. He appeared in just two games last season after suffering a torn pectoral muscle in Week 2.
The only other players who did not get a full session in were backups Christian Darrisaw (groin) and Tyler Conklin (hamstring) getting limited sessions in. It’s safe to say that, at least in terms of their 53-man rosters, the Bengals and Vikings are two of the healthier NFL teams heading into the opening week of the regular season.
