As the Cincinnati Bengals continue preparing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Thursday’s practice session was mostly the same on the injury front.

Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd went limited again, while Trey Hendrickson, Mike Hilton and Hayden Hurst got another DNP. It appears Higgins and Boyd have a real shot to play Sunday, but the latter three appear headed for the gameday inactive list.

Making matters worse for the secondary is cornerback Jalen Davis was also sidelined for a second-straight day. If Davis and Hilton are both out, that means the Bengals’ cornerback room will only include Eli Apple, Cam Taylor-Britt and Tre Flowers. First-round safety Daxton Hill is currently working at slot corner and figures to start there Sunday if Hilton is out.

The good news is defensive end Joseph Ossai, who was limited Wednesday with a shoulder injury, went full Thursday. Assuming Hendrickson is out, Ossai will likely start in his place if healthy.

On the Bucs’ side, right tackle Tristan Wirfs was upgraded to limited today, so there’s a shot he suits up Sunday.

Cornerback Jamel Dean, wide receiver Julio Jones, defensive end Carl Nassib, and defensive tackle Vita Vea all remained out Thursday.
