The last time these teams met, it was a pretty heated defensive battle. It was also the game where quarterback Justin Fields injured his thumb and missed the next four weeks. He returned last week in a loss to the Detroit Lions.
The Vikings are much different on offense than from Week 6. Quarterback Kirk Cousins is out for the season, and it also looks like Justin Jefferson will likely miss Monday Night Football on the tail end of his hamstring recovery.
Josh Dobbs is now leading Minnesota’s offense. Yes Bengals fans, the same quarterback that the Bengals played in Week 5. After the Cardinals traded for Dobbs prior to Week 1 and had him start for the first portion of the season, they traded the quarterback to the Vikings right before the trade deadline. He has been 2-1 with Minnesota after being thrust into the starting position right after the trade.
The Dobbs magic needs to continue, as the Vikings are in the middle of a playoff push at 6-5. The Detroit Lions also just dropped to 8-3. That means a win on Monday brings them even closer to the top of the division, with two games against Detroit still left on the schedule.
Can the Vikings get back to their winning ways after dropping a game to the Broncos last week, or will Fields be able to boost the Bears to an upset?
Here is our staff’s predictions.
