The Cincinnati Bengals can’t seem to shake the injury bug in 2023.
First, it was Joe Burrow fighting through a calf injury. Then Tee Higgins went down with a rib fracture. Higgins came back, only to hurt his hamstring and miss time. Sam Hubbard missed three games. Burrow was lost for the year. Cam Taylor-Britt was unable to go against Pittsburgh. It just wouldn’t end.
Sunday, it looked like the hits kept coming when star linebacker Logan Wilson went down with a lower leg injury. For a team that keeps taking major hits, the fear was that they had just suffered another.
When speaking to the media on Monday, Head Coach Zac Taylor gave a positive update on Wilson, saying that he only suffered an ankle sprain.

Taylor also added that Wilson does have a chance to play Monday night when the Bengals travel to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Wilson will likely test out the ankle in practice this week and go from there.
Aside from Wilson, it appears the extra day of rest could help Higgins and Taylor-Britt as well. Taylor said that they all three “have a chance” to suit up Monday night.
Burrow isn’t coming back, but having those three major contributors on the field would provide a huge boost to a Bengals team that, despite going winless in November, still has a chance to sneak in to the playoffs.
If they plan to do that, Monday is a must-win game, and they’ll need as many of their starters as possible.
