The Cincinnati Bengals may not have Joe Burrow, but they still have an offense that ‘should’ be able to put up points vs. just about anyone.
That is, if everyone else is healthy, which hasn’t been the case much since Week 5 due to Tee Higgins being in and out of the lineup due to injury.
Higgins’ latest setback was a pulled hamstring he suffered in practice prior to the team’s loss to the Houston Texans in Week 10. He also battled a rib fracture earlier this season that sidelined him for a game.
Now, it appears Higgins is ready to make his return to the lineup for the Monday Night Football showdown with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Following Thursday’s practice, Higgins said he plans to play Monday.
“That’s the plan, for sure,” Higgins told reporters while also revealing he no longer has any practice limitations, though he was officially listed as a limited participant for Thursday’s practice.
There’s no question it’s been a disastrous contract year for Higgins, who has caught just 27 passes for 328 yards and two touchdowns across seven games. However, he still has a chance to end the year on a strong note and get his stock back to where he’ll either get a big contract extension this offseason or have the Bengals utilize the franchise tag to pay him about 23$ million.
