The Cincinnati Bengals (7-6) are right back in the thick of the playoff race after a thorough beating of the Indianapolis Colts (7-6).

Fans are having a blast watching Jake Browning find his identity as an NFL quarterback right before our eyes. In only his third start, he was 18/24 for 275 yards, two passing touchdowns, and a TD on the ground. This after topping 350 yards last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football.

Joe Burrow’s replacement has become so valuable that, after he exited with an apparent thumb injury, Bengals Twitter started freaking out as Browning went to the locker room while being replaced by AJ McCarron.

Once it was revealed it was just a muscle cramp, fans let out a sigh of relief and then began to have a little fun.

A few might’ve gone too far in their effusive praise for Browning, as implied in this quote tweet:

Meanwhile, the Bengals’ second brand new superstar, running back Chase Brown, had another fantastic game (105 total yards and a touchdown), and people are starting to realize just how fast he is.

The team effort had fans truly appreciating the roster that has been assembled in Cincinnati.

And, of course, Zac Taylor’s playcalling has looked a lot better since he hasn’t had Burrow to rely on to save the day.
