The injury bug is biting the Cincinnati Bengals badly in their matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. It is also biting players named DJ pretty badly, as after DJ Reader went out on the Bengal's first defensive drive, DJ Ivey went out not too much later with a non-contact injury on punt coverage. He was quickly ruled out for the remainder of the game.

It is always tough to see someone have to be carted off, and it is even harder when the player is a promising rookie. While Ivey was not playing much on defense, he has been a key special teamer, and with Cam Taylor-Britt out, he was only one injury away from seeing major playing time.

His loss will likely impact the Bengals’ special teams and hurt the Bengal's depth. A non-contact knee injury is never a good sign, and if he misses a lot of time, the Bengals will most likely have to sign one of their cornerbacks from the practice squad in Sidney Jones or Allan George.
