The Cincinnati Bengals have placed cornerback DJ Ivey and defensive tackle DJ Reader on the injured reserve list, the team announced on Monday.

Ivey, a rookie from the University of Miami (Fla.), suffered a knee injury in Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. It was later reported to be a torn ACL. The seventh-round NFL Draft picks finishes the year with three tackles, one pass deflection, and one fumble recovery.

Reader, an eighth-year player, also suffered a knee injury in Saturday’s game. His injury was later revealed to be a torn quad muscle. He finishes the season with 34 total tackles (20 solo), seven QB hits, two tackles for loss, one sack, one pass deflection, and one fumble recovery in 14 games as a legitimate Pro Bowl candidate.

Here’s to hoping for a speedy recovery for both players and a return in time for the 2024 NFL season.
