The Cincinnati Bengals have signed defensive tackle Domenique Davis off the practice squad to the active roster, the team announced Friday.
Cincinnati also elevated wide receiver Shedrick Jackson and cornerback Sidney Jones IV from the practice squad to the active roster for Saturday’s game vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Davis, a first-year player out of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, spent the first 14 games of the season on the team’s practice squad after initially being waived during the team’s final roster cuts.
The Bengals are hoping Davis can help provide more depth on the interior defensive line after losing DJ Reader to a season-ending torn quad in Week 15 vs. the Minnesota Vikings.
As for Jackson and Jones, both players are classified as standard elevations. As practice squad players being elevated to the active roster, they will automatically revert to the practice squad after Saturday’s game.
