Chidobe Awuzie shoulders blame after loss to Steelers

It was a rough night all around for the Bengals defense

It was a rough night for the Cincinnati Bengals community after a blowout loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers during the holiday weekend.

The Bengals' defense was a disaster for the second time this season against the Steelers.

Steeler's third-string quarterback, Mason Rudolph, and company torched the Bengals defense. Pittsburgh wide receiver George Pickens finished the night with four catches for 195 yards and two touchdowns.

One of the biggest moments of the game was Pickens’ second touchdown catch on Chidobe Awuzie to seal the deal for the Steelers.

After the game, Awuzie took the blame for the loss, saying, “This loss is on me; I feel like I let my teammates down. I am going to try to be better next week.”

Awuzie also went on to say, “We came in here wanting to whip them, and they did their thing. They whooped us.”

The Bengals will look to bounce back next week in Kansas City.
