Could the Bengals copy the Chiefs blueprints for the 2nd straight year?

One can argue the Chiefs got better results with their upgrades but it did take them 2 year before they won the SB.

In 2022 the Chiefs because of the high cost of the skilled players on offense decided to trade away their best WR. Tyreek Hill got a return of 29th, 50th and 4th in 2022 and 4th and 6th in 2023. The Chiefs then replaced his production by signing Valdez-Scantling (3yrs 30m), Smith-Schuster (1yr 3.8m) and trading for Kadarius Toney (2023 3rd &6th).

In 2023 could the Bengals because of the high cost of the skilled players on offense decide to trade away their 2nd best receiver. The Bengals could then replace Higgins’ production through free agency by signing 2-3 of following (salaries are Spotrac estimates) Darious Slayton (2yrs 7m total), Mark Hollins( 1yr 2.4m), DeAndre Carter(1yr 2m), Olamide Zaccheaus(2yrs 7.4m) or Pariris Campbell (1yr 2.5m).

When I look at the production of these players I find Spotrac’s estimates to be low. If Spotrac’s estimates are right even if the Bengals don’t trade Higgins they might consider cutting Boyd and applying the 8.9m in cap saving toward a couple of these players.
