Chase and Chiefs defenders still jawing

Don’t expect the animosity to cool down.

Prior to the Cincinnati Bengals watching their playoff hopes dashed in Arrowhead Stadium, receiver Ja’Marr Chase had some strong comments about the Kansas City Chiefs' defensive backs. Calling L’Jarius Sneed “just a guy” certainly fired him up ahead of the game.

Chase finished the game with just three receptions for 41 yards and as you can expect, Chiefs players were sure to call that out after the game.

Chase and Sneed were the catalysts of a scuffle that broke out during the game, leading to offsetting personal fouls. Postgame, Chase still seemed heated with Sneed.

Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones even got in on the action when speaking to the camera as he walked off the field.

The two teams have played in nothing but high-stakes games over the last three seasons, so it has developed into one of the league’s most exciting in-conference rivalries. In games that normally feature Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes, two of the best quarterbacks in the league, neither side has been able to come away with a win greater than eight points.

From “Burrowhead” to the jawing back and forth between players, this has given us all you can ask for from two of the league’s best teams.

Don’t look now, but the Bengals travel back to Kansas City in 2024.
