Cincy Jungle staff picks for Sunday Night Football and open thread

The AFC East and Bills playoff hopes are on the line for the last game of the NFL regular season.

NFL: Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

The AFC East is going to come down to Week 18. The Miami Dolphins will be at home against the Buffalo Bills. The Bills have won their last four games to get themselves in this position, while the Dolphins are licking their wounds after getting destroyed by the Baltimore Ravens last week.

The situation is fairly simple for the Dolphins. If they win, they will be the No. 2 seed in the AFC, and a loss sinks them to the 6th seed. The Bills win, and they will be the No. 2 seed.

Quarterback Josh Allen has had an MVP-caliber season with 40 total touchdowns and is willing his team to victories down the stretch, as his defense has just not been great.

The Dolphins have had a fantastic team most of the season. They have just struggled against other “contenders.” The last time these two teams met, the Bills won 48-20 after scoring 70 against the Denver Broncos the prior week.

This has the making of a shootout in Miami. We will see both of these teams light up the scoreboard in some way, shape, or form. It could all come down to turnovers being turned into points. Allen has had an issue with those at times, but Tua Tagovailoa isn’t that far behind him.

Here is how our staff sees this one playing out.

This will also be our open thread for the remainder of Sunday’s games, so come join the fun!
