Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week by the NFL on Wednesday. Completing 21 of 30 passes for 199 yards passing and four touchdowns, for a passer rating of 127.6, Dalton helped lead the Bengals to a 31-13 win over the New York Giants. Dalton is the first Bengals player to earn AFC Offensive Player of the Week since Carson Palmer in 2009 against the Chicago Bears.

It's the third time this season that a Bengals player has been awarded with a player of the week award, following Adam Jones' Special Teams Player of the Week in Week Two against the Cleveland Browns and Michael Johnson's Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Washington Redskins in Week Three.
