Bengals Week Ten "Goat Of The Week Award"

It was another wacky heartbreaker on Sunday in Baltimore, in only a fashion that the Cincinnati Bengals can provide their fanbase. Right when you think they are done, they pull a miracle out to keep a pulse; and right when you think they have stolen a much-needed road victory, they manage to disappoint.

There were a number of moments in three-plus quarters of bad football that incriminated a plethora of men wearing orange and black on Sunday. Though football is a team sport, we are going to single out some of the players who really dropped the ball (figuratively and literally) when they had the chance to help lift the Bengals to victory.

Andy Dalton: Perhaps the most obvious and glaring front runner of this award, Dalton was awful for much of Sunday. Passes sailed high and wide, resulting in three interceptions for the second consecutive week. Sure he threw for almost 300 yards and two touchdowns, but think about the two he threw for a minute. One was a dump-off pass to Giovani Bernard where he let him do the work and the other was on the Hail Mary to A.J. Green. Pinpoint passing isn't exactly needed for those two types of plays and Dalton finished with a 52.2 rating.

Marvin Jones: The guy who has come up huge in the past month really disappeared on Sunday against the Ravens. He had one catch for two yards and another rushing attempt that netted seven yards. When the offense was struggling to find a spark in the second half, Jones was a complete non-factor.

Andrew Hawkins: In a week where the Bengals needed someone to step up opposite Green, especially in the slot area with Jermaine Gresham out, Hawkins was welcomed back to the lineup with open arms. Unfortunately, the day didn't live up to many fans' expectations for "Baby Hawk". He had one carry on the day and fumbled (which he recovered), netting minus-three yards. He also failed to grab a catch on Sunday in limited time.

Mike Nugent: Though the veteran has made some big kicks this season and had a nice one in the game against Baltimore, his early missed attempt ended up really hurting the Bengals. Because of that miss, the coaching staff didn't have faith in him to try a 52-yarder in overtime which would have given the Bengals the lead and likely a win. In a game where three points was a big difference, Nugent has to get some cold stares.

Andrew Whitworth: The veteran left tackle has played well at times this season, but age and nagging injuries seem to be catching up with him. Elvis Dumervil, whom Whitworth was matched up with for most of the day, ended up wreaking havoc up front. Dumervil finished with 2.5 sacks and a pass defensed in the game and made Whitworth look like a tackle past his prime.

Chris Crocker: Even though the unit was tough all day, we had to add someone on this list from it. Crocker had a golden opportunity to swing the momentum back in Cincy's favor with a gimme interception in the second quarter. Instead, the ghosts of Houston's Reliant Stadium made a reappearance from two years ago and the ball got through Crocker's hands. It was a moment that exemplified the entire day for the Bengals when they were desperately trying to find that spark to give them some life during an otherwise dreadful first half of football.
