Adam Jones and Andrew Whitworth names to PFWA teams

New, comments

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback, Adam Jones and offensive lineman, Andrew Whitworth were named to the Pro Football Writers of America teams.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Like the Associated Press, who names their annual all-pro team, the Professional Football Writers of America have their own all-NFL teams, as well as all-AFC and all-NFC teams.

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones was named to the PFWA all-NFL team as a kick returner. The PFWA all-AFC team included offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth, which Jones obviously made as well. Both players were named to the AP's all-pro team (Jones on the first-team and Whitworth on the second-team) and yet neither were named to the 2015 NFL Pro Bowl, which features wide receiver A.J. Green and punter Kevin Huber, neither of whom are recognized by the AP nor PFWA.

Does anyone actually take the Pro Bowl seriously?
