The Cincinnati Bengals’ squeaked one out against a familiar foe in the Indianapolis Colts and the team is back in the thick of things in the AFC. In the team’s 24-23 win, there were many great individual performances in the win.
Cast your vote for the Bengals’ Week 8 MVP and sound off on your winner for this week’s award!
Andy Dalton: It wasn’t the prettiest of performances by the veteran signal-caller, but he avoided turnovers yet again and threw for two scores. Dalton finished 17-of-29 for 243 yards and the two touchdowns.
A.J. Green: The star wide receiver had just three catches for 27 yards, but also nabbed a critical touchdown. Green would likely have had a more impressive stat line, but some missed passes or a lack of targeting hindered his stat line.
Joe Mixon: The rookie running back had trouble finding lanes at times and did lose a critical fumble, but he combined for 109 all-purpose yards. The biggest was a 67-yard reception, which Mixon almost took to the house.
Geno Atkins: The Pro Bowl defensive tackle had another strong performance against Indianapolis, pressuring Jacoby Brissett often. Aside from that, Atkins had five total tackles and a sack on the afternoon, giving him five on the year, tied for best among NFL defensive tackles.
Carlos Dunlap: The big defensive end has had a slow start to the 2017 season, but had a gigantic day against the Colts. Dunlap had three tackles, a sack and what would become the game-cinching pick-six off of his own tipped Brissett pass.
