NFL Week 12 Browns at Bengals: Cincinnati’s Unsung hero of the week

There were a number of players whose performances flew under the radar

NFL: Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals David Kohl-USA TODAY Sports

Every week, there are a number of quality individual performances which helps lead to a win. Some of the performances are MVP-worthy, while others often go overlooked.

Whose solid performance flew under the radar on Sunday? Cast your vote for the Bengals’ Week 12 Unsung Hero of the Week!

Wide receiver Tyler Boyd: The second-year wideout has been in Marvin Lewis’ doghouse a bit, but stepped up on Sunday. His only two catches resulted in a high-effort first down and much-needed touchdown, respectively, even though the plays only netted 17 yards.

Wide receiver A.J. Green: We’ve become accustomed to Green lighting up the Browns, but that wasn’t so much the case on Sunday, as he had a pedestrian-like five catches for 66 yards. However, almost every snag he made were highlight-reel worthy, whether it was climbing the ladder for a reception, or two other sideline toe-tappers.

Tight end Tyler Kroft: There’s no replacing Tyler Eifert’s abilities, but Kroft is becoming a great security blanket for Andy Dalton. He only had three catches for 14 yards, but also grabbed his fifth touchdown of the year.

Center Russell Bodine: Believe it or not, the embattled interior lineman had one of his best games as a pro lineman on Sunday. The Bengals wisely called many of their running plays from the shotgun, which they have been very effective of late. Bodine helped to pave the way for 169 rushing yards, while the line only gave up one sack and minimal pressures.

Defensive end Carlos Dunlap: The Pro Bowl end was active on Sunday, getting in the backfield often. Big No. 96 had five total tackles and a half-sack against the Browns, as he looks to close out the year in a strong way.

Defensive tackle Geno Atkins: One of the Bengals’ best draft picks in team history is having another great season in 2017. He had six total tackles and a half sack against the Browns on Sunday.
