Though it wasn’t the result the Cincinnati Bengals had hoped for, there were some great plays and individual performances against Green Bay. Cast your vote and sound off on your winners of the Bengals’ Week 5 awards!
Most Valuable Player
Joe Burrow:
Though he had two interceptions, Burrow also had two huge touchdown throws, a two-point conversion and put the team in position to win a handful of times late in the game. He had 281 passing yards and 11 more on the ground.

The kid just keeps ascending into superstardom. He had six catches for 159 yards for a whopping 26.5 yards per catch. He had about three or four highlight reel catches in the game.

Perine had to step up with Mixon being banged up and did so. He had 59 yards on 11 carries (5.4 yards per carry) along with four catches for 24 yards and a touchdown through the air.
Trey Hendrickson:
Cincinnati’s defense had issues this week, but Hendrickson was one of the best players. He had two sacks and four total tackles.

Unsung Hero of the Week
Joe Mixon:
The Bengals’ star running back had to take a back seat this Sunday, as he had an injured ankle. However, he managed to still make some plays, grinding out 33 tough yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. He also had a catch for two yards.
Chidobe Awuzie:
While Davante Adams had a huge game, only about 80 yards came from coverage supplied by Awuzie. The veteran corner had an interception and six total tackles.
Brandon Wilson:
It was finally a day for some nice special teams returns. Wilson had four kickoff returns that averaged 30 yards a pop. His 44-yarder was a nice one in a year that hasn’t had many big special teams plays.

Samaje Perine’s 4-yard touchdown catch:
The Bengals needed to get on the board after a back-and-forth of futility. Cincinnati plodded down the field and Burrow hit Perine out in the flat for an easy touchdown to take the lead.

Ja’Marr Chase’s 70-yard touchdown reception:
The Bengals’ rookie receiver continues to excite. Burrow bought almost eight full seconds dancing in the pocket and uncorked a big pass to Chase. He showed great concentration to haul in the pass from a defender and scoot 70 yards for a score.

Joe Mixon’s 8-yard touchdown run:
Man, oh man, did Mixon put the moves on Shemar Jean-Charles. His ankle looked fine here, as he juked his way into the end zone to put the team in position to tie it up in the second half.

Ja’Marr Chase’s 21-yard reception:
Just to add to his highlight reel of a day, Chase made an insane grab in overtime to once again set the Bengals up in game-winning field goal position. This 21-yarder was a beauty.
