Bengals DE Michael Johnson returns to practice

Michael Johnson, who missed last week's game against the New England Patriots with a concussion, returned to practice on Friday.

When the Cincinnati Bengals suited up to practice, defensive end Michael Johnson was in full-gear ready to join his teammates on the practice field. According to multiple reports from Cincinnati's awesome group of beat writers, Johnson is practicing on Friday and began working drills with the defensive line.

In fact, everyone practiced in what could be summarized as the healthiest they've been this season. And consider that Andrew Hawkins will be eligible to begin practicing next week.

However, there should be some caution in Johnson's case. Leon Hall has missed two weeks before he returned to practice on Friday last week, but remained out to further rehabilitate and allow Hall additional rest, who is expected to play this weekend against the Buffalo Bills.

So the same could apply for Johnson, especially with Wallace Gilberry playing so well. However, unlike Hall's hamstring, once the Bengals clear Johnson, one has to believe that they wouldn't clear him if they weren't absolutely certain that he'd be ready and cleared from symptoms.
