Bills take 7-3 lead on Bengals sleep-walking defense

It didn't take long for both teams to score on their opening possessions.

The Bengals opened the game with a seven-play possession, picking up two first downs but a collection of bad reads and disruptive work from the secondary, forced the Bengals to kick the field goal to take a 3-0 lead.

Consecutive Fred Jackson runs setup a third and four from the Bills 33-yard line with 11:13 remaining in the first quarter. Thad Lewis takes the snap and lofts the football down the left sidelines for T.J. Graham, who simply outpaced Adam Jones. The 47-yard reception put Buffalo on Cincinnati's 20-yard line.

An unnecessary roughness on Thad Lewis' scramble and slide put the Bills at the Bengals eight-yard line with 10:29. Two plays later, Thad Lewis took the shotgun snap and ran into the endzone on a designed quarterback draw, giving the Bills a 7-3 lead.
