Bengals Waive Quarterback Zac Robinson

Less than a week away from the NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals let go of one of their quarterbacks.

Andy Lyons

Many have conjectured that the Cincinnati Bengals will be taking a quarterback sometime in the 2014 NFL Draft. Those same folks believe that the quarterback of their choosing will be selected in the first few rounds. Another smoke signal showing some validity to that belief is some news from the club on Friday.

Dehner also clarifies that Robinson had been dealing with elbow issues last year. He was a seventh round pick out of Oklahoma State by the New England Patriots and bounced around that season to the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions that year. Robinson hung on with the Lions through most of the 2011 preseason, but was released before the regular season began.

He impressed the Bengals in a head-to-head preseason game that year and they brought him in as a Practice Squad guy soon after his release. He resided on the Bengals' Practice Squad in 2012 and was a PUP List player for 2013. He is able to sign with any team if he clears waivers.
