Bengals Hosting Azusa Pacific University Running Back Terrell Watson

As the NFL Draft nears, teams are doing their due diligence on all prospects. It's long been said that great football teams are built through the middle and late rounds in the draft, as it's in those rounds that true depth is gathered. One running back projected in the late rounds of this year's draft announced (via his Twitter account) that he will be visiting the Cincinnati Bengals in a couple of weeks.

Watson attended Azusa Pacific University in Southern California and dominated the competition at the NCAA D-II school. In 2014, Watson had 2,214 rushing yards, a 6.7 yards per carry average and 29 rushing touchdowns. That was a follow-up to 1,869 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns.

Watson was also invited to the NFLPA Bowl, in which Cincy Jungle staff members were on-hand as members of the media. He won the MVP award of the event for the National squad, with nine carries for 55 yards. He, along with others like Chris Conley of Georgia and a couple of others were the primary standouts of the game.

The Bengals have yet to sign Cedric Peerman, who has long been a fourth running back and special teams ace and might be looking for some sort of replacement. The top of the depth chart is definitely set with Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill.
