Running back Arian Foster sat out during Houston's 23-7 win over the Cleveland Browns. Foster had been dealing with a groin injury since being knocked out of Houston's Week 9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Replacing Foster on Sunday was rookie Alfred Blue, who generated 156 yards rushing on 36 carries (averaging 4.3 yards per rush). Blue's performance tied Steve Slaton (against the Indianapolis Colts on November 16, 2008) for the most yards by a rookie during a single-game. Blue also set the franchise record for most carries (36) in a game -- surpassing Arian Foster's three attempts in two different games.
Houston ended the game with 213 yards rushing, largely thanks to Blue and Jonathan Grimes, who totaled 54 yards rushing on 13 carries.
As for Foster, he's expected to play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Texans HC O'Brien tells me Arian Foster's groin is a 2-week thing (injured 2 weeks ago today), says "I would expect him to play next week"
