Today is a good day for Andy Dalton's family

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton, originally from Katy, Texas, won his first game against the Texans. Making it even better, he did it on his father's birthday.

Entering Sunday's game against the Houston Texans, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton has gone winless against his hometown team in three tries. Well, more like the team that plays in his hometown of the greater Houston metropolitan area, where Katy, Texas is. And if we include the loss to the Dallas Cowboys in 2012, then he's 0-4 against Texas-based teams.

Needless to say, Sunday's 22-13 win over the Houston Texans was big for him. After the game, Dalton signed his game jersey and handed it to his father, who is celebrating his 55th birthday today.

Dalton completed 24 of 35 passes for 233 yards passing and a touchdown. He did have one major mistake when Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph returned a third quarter interception 60 yards for a touchdown. Other than that, Dalton was exceptionally solid.

After the game, his family posed for a few photographs.

Today is a good day for the Dalton family.
