Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, who missed last week with a groin and foot and listed as questionable on Friday, will play on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals according to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network.

Despite missing week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles, Peterson has 1,221 yards rushing on the season and sits 122 yards behind league leader LeSean Mccoy with 1,343 yards rushing. Only two running backs (Jamaal Charles and Marshawn Lynch) have scored more rushing touchdowns than Peterson, who sits at ten entering week 16.

The Bengals defense is ranked No. 5 against the rush this season, allowing 98.7 yards rushing per game. Only three defenses (Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks) have allowed more touchdowns than the five allowed by Cincinnati. On the other hand, the Vikings lead the NFL with 21 rushing touchdowns.
