Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said during his Monday presser that he's not concerned about the injuries that A.J. Green and Vontaze Burfict suffered... in the long-term.
Green played only five snaps Sunday before he left with a toe injury. It's unknown what exactly the injury is but appears to be a sprain or muscle strain of some type (we're not doctors). Lewis said that Green "will be out there when he's out there, but I don't think it's long term." The accepted theory is that Green will sit this weekend against the Tennessee Titans and use the week four bye to rest, making his return in New England.
As for Burfict, we're projecting the same timeline. The starting Pro Bowl linebacker played most of the first three quarters against Atlanta but exited the game twice. Without being too descriptive, Lewis said:
Lewis on Burfict injury: he'll overcome whatever it is and move on
