Because the attention was focused so much on how we got there, and CBS' belief that we MUST watch the conclusion of the Philadelphia Eagles win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, what was missed was the Cincinnati Bengals potentially losing defensive tackle Geno Atkins... again. Reports surfaced after the game that Atkins was carted off the field.
Geno Atkins apparently was injured at the end of the game. Just got helped into the locker room. Took cart from field. #Bengals

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis wasn't sure either, suggesting that it might have just been an issue of dehydration.
Marvin didn't sound certain about Atkins. Said he may have been dehydrated.

Atkins was seen walking around the lockerroom without any issues. He also told beat writers that he was fine.

And this from Mike "Sources" Florio:
Per source, Bengals DT Geno Atkins is fine. He was carted off late in game and helped to locker room.

Per source, Geno Atkins didn't have many preseason reps. He was exhausted, and his feet were sore.

The win over Baltimore was already costly with Tyler Eifert (elbow) and Vontaze Burfict (concussion) leaving the game. We didn't need Atkins to go down, while he was slowly getting stronger during the game.
We'll know more on how he feels this week, but it appears that Atkins will be fine.
