The Cincinnati Bengals may have Marvin Jones undergo the knife for an injured ankle that he suffered during the Monday following team's week four bye. Per the mothership at Bengals.com, Geoff Hobson writes that "there is some talk that they may think about surgery for Jones."
If Jones undergoes a procedure, one would have to think that his season would be at risk.
Jones has missed the entire year already, first dealing with an ankle injury that he sustained prior to training camp -- he was initially placed on the team's NFI list. Following the team's preseason opener in early August, the team announced that Jones suffered a break in his left foot. That's has kept him off the field through the team's bye week.
A new injury was reportedly suffered during the team's first practice following the bye week.
Jones welcomed superstar wide receiver A.J. Green on the team's infirmary, who is dealing with a foot issue. Already sporting a boot on his foot, Green, who isn't expected to play this weekend against the Indianapolis Colts, will see a specialist this Friday.
There is literally no expectation when they'll return, with Hobson noting that "there is no time frame for either of them."
