Cincinnati Bengals running back Giovani Bernard is one of three players nominated for the FedEx NFL Ground Player of the Week award.
Bernard generated 137 yards rushing on 18 carries (a 7.6 yard/rush average) during Cincinnati's 37-37 tie against the Carolina Panthers. Bernard scored an 89-yard touchdown in the second quarter, giving Cincinnati a 14-7 lead.

To the best of my knowledge, BenJarvus Green-Ellis was the last Bengals running back nominated for the FedEx NFL Ground Player of the Week when he posted 118 yards rushing against the San Diego Chargers in 2012.
Joining Bernard as nominees for the FedEx NFL Ground Player of the Week are Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray and Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy. Murray posted 115 yards rushing and a touchdown in Dallas' 30-23 win over the Seattle Seahawks. McCoy picked up 149 yards on the ground during Philadelphia's 27-0 shutout over the New York Giants.
Also nominated this week for the FedEx NFL Air Player of the Week are New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco.
