The Cincinnati Bengals open with an afternoon practice on Monday, but without linebacker Vontaze Burfict. At least that's according to beat writers who are allowed 30 minutes before being led away... Seriously, all players and coaches face the beat writers with arms crossed and tapping toes until they're gone.
According to reports, offensive guard Kevin Zeitler and defensive tackle Brandon Thompson were also MIA -- though that's a bit expected with their injuries expected to keep them out until mid-October (maybe sooner, but let's say mid-October for now).
Burfict missed Cincinnati's 33-7 win over the Tennessee Titans after sustaining a concussion during the team's opening two games of the season.
When asked if we'll see Burfict this week, head coach Marvin Lewis said, "I would imagine. Yes."
When asked if Vontaze Burfict would return to practice this week, Marvin Lewis said: "I would imagine." Do with that what you will.
