The Cincinnati Bengals have placed Geno Atkins on season-ending Injured Reserve and signed second-year defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi, the team announced on Monday. Atkins suffered an ACL tear in the second quarter against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday and with Devon Still rehabilitating from an elbow injury, their depth was shattered.

Bilukidi, born in a Southern African country called Angola, is a former sixth-round pick by the Oakland Raiders in the 2012 NFL draft having played in 18 games (no starts) and generating 13 tackles and one quarterback sack. He was waived on Oct. 23 when the Raiders needed a spot on their roster to claim linebacker Martez Wilson off waivers.

The former Georgia State defensive tackle was a two-year starter after being transferred to Eastern Arizona Junior College. He recorded 10 career quarterback sacks in college, setting a program record and 16 tackles for loss. During his rookie season with the Raiders, he played 243 defensive snaps with 12 tackles and one pass broken up.

He was also a third-round pick in the 2012 CFL draft.

The Cincinnati Bengals also announced that they've signed linebacker Bruce Taylor to the practice squad.
