The Cincinnati Bengals announced on Thursday that they've signed cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris from the practice squad. Lewis-Harris will fill a need with Terence Newman out for 1-3 weeks with a sprained MCL. Lewis-Harris was on the 53-man roster for seven game last year, playing in three and logging three tackles on special teams. He's already had two stints on Cincinnati's practice squad this year.
The team waived safety Tony Dye to make room. Dye had a special teams tackle and returned a blocked punt for a touchdown earlier this year. Dye was on the team's practice squad earlier this year but was called up when Chris Crocker was dealing with an injury (ironically, the team waived Lewis-Harris at the time to make room).
