The Cincinnati Bengals have announced that they've signed first-year center Scott Wedige to the team's practice squad on Tuesday. Wedige spent three games last season on the team's practice squad when Jeff Faine and Trevor Robinson were dealing with injuries but lost him when Arizona plucked him for their 53-man roster.

Wedige, who is 6-foot-4 and 310 pounds, opened training camp this year in Arizona but was waived on Aug. 19. The New York Jets claimed him the following day (Aug. 20) but released three days later (Aug. 23).

To make room, the Bengals released defensive end Aston Whiteside from the practice squad, who had been with Cincinnati since Nov. 11.
