There really wasn't any logical reason to believe otherwise, but linebacker Jayson DiManche sounds like a player that was informed that he'll make Cincinnati's 53-man roster for a second consecutive year.
Blessed to spend another season with these hittas #whodey #letsroar #sophmoreseason http://t.co/4u43rDUZe8— Jayson Dimanche (@DiMonstAr34) August 30, 2014
DiManche made the roster last season as an undrafted free agent. Mostly a special teams player, he finished second on the team with 12 special teams tackles and a blocked a punt that safety Tony Dye returned for a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns.
The Bengals have seven linebackers on their current roster, with Vontaze Burfict, Rey Maualuga and Emmanuel Lamur being your base 4-3 starters. Vincent Rey is a lock. If Cincinnati goes with six linebackers, the final spot boils down to Sean Porter and Marquis Flowers. If they keep both, then they'll have to look at reducing other positions... like defensive back.
