The Cincinnati Bengals waived three players on Friday, less than 24 hours since the team's 41-39 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The team announced that second-year defensive tackle Zach Minter (Montana State), first-year wide receiver Conner Vernon (Duke) and rookie wide receiver Jeremy Johnson (Southern Methodist) were placed on waivers.

Johnson and Vernon, who played 10 and 12 snaps respectively, each caught a pass Thursday night, with Johnson's going for 11 yards and Vernon for 12. Minter played nine snaps but didn't record a statistic. Both players were added this summer to the roster.

Cincinnati must reduce their roster to 75 players by 4 p.m. (ET) on August 26. The final cutdown date to 53 players is August 30. It's still possible they add more bodies at positions that don't have us much depth, especially at quarterback.
