We don't need no stinking Carson..........

Quick read on Dalton's rising popularity, it even references "The Red Rifle" nickname.

Why does Andre Caldwell seem to only show up for game winning TD's? Not that I'm complaining, just an observation.

Even though Lewis is not a fan of past history, this is the seventh time in franchise history that the Bengals have started 6-2 or better. Only once have they failed to make the playoffs. Also the last time the Bengals faced the Steelers and Ravens in back-to-back games, they won. Only in that case two years ago they hosted Baltimore and then went to Pittsburgh.

"That's crazy," Peko said. "I just found that out right now. They just told me that in the training room. But we're not real big on looking at stats or things like that."

Domata Peko on finding out that the Bengals are the #1 seed in the AFC.

He is well beyond him being a rookie. It is just his poise. It’s his passion for the game and his composure. It’s the way he conducts himself in and out of the huddle.

AFC North: 4 of top 6 defenses

Be sure to sort by Yds/game since not all teams have had their bye week. Surprised to see Houston at the top of the list, but like the Bengals they haven't faced too many good teams. Mildly surprised that New England is at the bottom especially given how bad Indy has been this year. Green Bay at the bottom is more a result of their offense scoring so quickly...nice problem to have!

After watching the Bengals come back to beat the Titans, I’m starting to think that this team can win the AFC North. They have some strong traits that are hard to beat... There are plenty of flaws in this team, but the strengths of the team are becoming more dominant than the flaws.

Cincinnati's Andy Dalton has thrown for 12 touchdowns this year, the most by a rookie in his team's first eight games of the season since the merger in 1970.

That beats Newton, Bradford, Roethlisberger, Manning and Dan freakin' Marino.

Cam Newton is a beast

I absolutely love what Dalton is doing for the Bengals and certainly wins are more important than stats, but having just seen the rookie stats so far I am simply blown away by the year Newton is having: 2,993 passing yards, 11TD/9INT plus 319 rushing yards and another 7 TDs. I never expected him to be this good in the NFL (at least not so quickly).
