The Awesome Andrew Whitworth Block That Sprung A.J. Green

A.J. Green had a 54-yard reception on a bubble screen, thanks to a path cleared by Bengals offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth.

US PRESSWIRE

There's 11 minutes remaining in the second quarter and the Bengals are leading 10-7. Cincinnati has second and nine from the Bengals 15-yard line when Andy Dalton completed a bubble screen pass to A.J. Green, who sprinted 54 yards down the sidelines that would eventually setup the team's second touchdown and a 17-7 lead.

While Green's reception was big, Andrew Whitworth's block was the catalyst that sprung him. Blocking Jim Leonard with a stiff arm, that sent the safety to the ground, wasn't enough.

Whatever. It's just fun to watch.
