Chalk Talk: Analyzing Cincinnati’s near-comeback vs. Arizona

This week, we look back at the Bengals heartbreaking loss to the Cardinals and forward to the Ravens matchup. We also have a special interview with PFWA member, Emory Hunt.

On the latest edition of Bengals Chalk Talk, I look at the Bengals’ fourth quarter comeback attempt against the Arizona Cardinals.

We look at a number of facets to the Week 5 loss, including:

  • How did they mount this 14 point comeback?
  • Why did it come up short?
  • And for the love of God, why can I not pronounce Clayton Fejedelem’s name?

At least two of these questions will be answered.

Later in the program, I also take a look at the Ravens run game including zone read and power plays. Can Cincinnati’s defense come up with a scheme to shut down Baltimore’s power approach?

On the audio version of the podcast, I am joined by Emory Hunt to discuss Lamar Jackson’s early season success and recent struggles. On this special interview, we also discuss the defensive issues the Ravens have had this season.

Where did they come from and have they lost their identity? Are there holes for the Bengals’ offense to exploit and sneak out with an unlikely win?
