Domata Peko fined $7,875 by the NFL

Bengals defensive tackle was fined over $7,875 for a late hit in the fourth quarter against the Cleveland Browns.

Bengals defensive tackle Domata Peko was fined $7,875 on Friday for a late hit during Cincinnati's 41-20 win over the Cleveland Browns. The hit occurred with 3:48 remaining in the fourth quarter while the Browns have second and 10 from the Bengals 10-yard line. Jason Campbell threw a short pass over the middle to Brian Tyms.

Vontaze Burfict popped the football out of Tyms' hands, which was picked up by offensive lineman Garrett Gilkey as the football was ruled incomplete.

Around that time, Domata Peko was in a self-given mission called, "HIT SOMEONE HARD!" knocking over Mitchell Schwartz from behind -- though one could argue that Peko was going after Gikley with the football, believing it to be a fumble while Schwartz moved into Peko's path (we're not saying it was Jerome Simpson-like induced, but...)

Peko was flagged for unnecessary roughness, moving Cleveland to the Bengals seven-yard line with 3:41 remaining in the game. Campbell would go on to throw three consecutive incomplete passes and turning the ball over on downs.
