Though the Bengals are examples of the walking wounded this week, the Miami Dolphins have some worries of their own. In a heated battle against the division rival New England Patriots on Sunday, Gibson went down with a knee injury and if you watched the telecast, you could see that Gibson immediately knew that it was a serious problem.
It turns that Gibson was correct and the injury was a torn patellar tendon. The team officially announced on Tuesday that Gibson will be heading to IR and his season will be done.
Official | The team has placed WR Brandon Gibson on the Reserve/Injured list.

It is a pretty big blow to the Dolphins offense, which shot out of the gate but have struggled a little bit in recent weeks. Gibson helped make up a formidable trio of Miami wideouts, which also include Brian Hartline and Mike Wallace. The 2013 free agent acquisition was having a nice year for the Dolphins, grabbing 30 passes and three touchdowns. He was the team's go-to guy on third down.
The Miami Herald reports that Rishard Matthews will step in for the injured Gibson. He was Miami's seventh-round pick in 2012.
