Report: Jim Harbaugh to Michigan Wolverines is done deal

The Michigan Wolverines will pull Jim Harbaugh from the NFL, despite his success with the 49ers.

The San Francisco 49ers have already parted ways with head coach Jim Harbaugh, and he now has his next job on the college level.

Per Adam Schefter and Albert Breer, Harbaugh will be named the next head coach of the Michigan Wolverines following rampant speculation this would happen for the past month. Harbaugh was rumored to be out of San Francisco for most of 2014, and once the Michigan job came open, they made Harbaugh their No. 1 priority.

The Niners went 44-19-1 in their four years under Harbaugh, and 49-22-1 including the playoffs. The Niners missed the playoffs for the first time under Harbaugh by going 8-8 this season en route to a disappointing third-place finish in the NFC West.

If that's it for Harbaugh in the NFL, he finishes with three playoff trips in four years, one of which ended in a Super Bowl appearance and the other two ended in the NFC Championship game.
