How about this four-round mock draft, courtesy of Walter Football?
1st Round (No. 24): MSU CB, Darqueze Dennard
2nd Round (No. 55): OSU OT, Jack Mewhort
3rd Round (No. 88): Clemson CB, Bashaud Breeland
4th Round (No. 119): ASU DT, Will Sutton
Solid. However, I'm not on board with selecting two cornerbacks in the first three rounds. With Leon Hall, Terence Newman, Adam Jones and Dre Kirkpatrick, the theoretical observation here is that Newman would be cut. On the other hand, he's entering the second-year of a two-year contract and when his contract expires, he'll be closer to 37 years old. Putting in place Cincinnati's future cornerbacks today so that they're ready tomorrow? It wouldn't be the first time.
A defensive tackle in the fourth round is solid, but only if the plan is to release Domata Peko (which is also theoretically possible). Otherwise you'll have five defensive tackles on the roster, including 2012 second and third rounders, Devon Still and Brandon Thompson.
As for Jack Mewhort, in virtually every ranking, Mewhort is graded one or two slots lower than Antonio Richardson, who one mock draft had selected for Cincinnati in the first round.
Thoughts?
