NFL Power Rankings: The media now loves Andy Dalton

Two tough road wins and quality Andy Dalton performances? Now the media is paying a little more attention.

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

The Cincinnati Bengals continued their climb in the power rankings, just outside the top-five. On the Power Rankings that we monitor, the best team on planet Earth is ranked anywhere from No. 6 to No. 8. Virtually all of the comments refer to Dalton's performances recently.

PFT: "Maybe Pacman Jones is now 100 percent convinced that Andy Dalton can lead them to a Super Bowl win."

ESPN: "Andy Dalton has thrown for 300 yards in back-to-back games, but faces a Jets team in Week 8 that hasn't allowed a 300-yard passing game this season."

Fox Sports' Brian Billick: "In the last two games, Andy Dalton has thrown for 702 yards and six touchdowns -- on the road. That’s pretty good."

CBSSports.com's Pete Prisco: "Andy Dalton had a big-boy game against the Lions. He has done it in back-to-back weeks now."

NFL.com: "Many in this business expected the Bengals -- specifically Andy Dalton -- to lose on the road. The third-year veteran made some big plays downfield, though he once again missed some, too. By and large, he showed up after shouldering immense criticism lately, completing 24 of 34 passes for 372 yards, three touchdowns and no picks. Way to go."

The list.
