NFL Power Rankings: Knock, knock. Who's there?

The Cincinnati Bengals are inching closer to top-five status in the weekly power rankings, even earning a couple of fives.

Andy Lyons

Pete Prisco moved the Bengals two spots, encouraged about their seeding possibility.

They are rolling right now and could end up as the second seed. They will not be an easy out come playoff time.

Brian Billick, however, dropped the Bengals from No. 6 to No. 7 after Cincinnati beat a division leader in Indianapolis.

The Bengals are unbeaten at home this season and have scored over 40 points in their last three games in Cincinnati.

Elliot Harrison called Cincinnati's win a statement.

The Bengals stayed on the Patriots' heels in the chase for that playoff bye. Though Cleveland's late loss to New England ruined what would have otherwise been a golden opportunity to gain some ground, Cincinnati's offense still might have gone to Golden Corral for sodas and chicken after putting up 430 yards and 42 points against a playoff-bound Indianapolis Colts team. That was a statement.

The list.
