The Cincinnati Bengals worked out Marshall offensive tackle Garrett Scott on Thursday, according to Aaron Wilson with the National Football Post. Scott has already visited with the Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while also having a private workout with the San Diego Chargers. CBS Sports projects Scott as a seventh-round pick or an undrafted free agent. ESPN ranks him as the 41st-best offensive tackle heading into the 2014 NFL Draft. Wilson writes:
The 6-foot-5, 310-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 5.08 seconds at his campus Pro Day workout. He bench pressed 225 pounds 25 times and had a 9-7 broad jump. He has 34 1/2 inch arms. He was a three-year starter.
Scott, who is viewed with enough versatility to play offensive guard, earned the second-team All-Conference USA honors in 2013.
