For the second time in as many years, Cincy Jungle contributors will be credentialed members of the press at a major NFL scouting event. The 4th Annual "NFLPA Bowl", will be held from January 14-17th with practices and the game itself. This game has been gaining momentum for such a young event, compared to the likes of the East-West Shrine Game and The Senior Bowl.
Collegiate athletes from all over the country will travel to Carson, California (a suburb of Los Angeles) at the Stub Hub Center. This venue is home of the MLS squad, the L.A. Galaxy, but will host two American Football teams comprised of pro prospects to be coached by Super Bowl-winning coaches, Mike Holmgren and Mike Martz. CJ staff members Mickey Mentzer (AKA whodeyfans), Cody Tewmey and Anthony Cosenza will all be in attendance for practices and the game itself.
The kickoff of the actual Bowl Game will be on Saturday, January 17th at 4 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN 2. Previously, the likes of Bill Polian and Todd McShay have been on-site and they are expected to be in attendance for coverage of the event once again in 2015.
Stay tuned to Cincy Jungle for reports from practice and the game next week!
