Height/Weight: 6'2", 220 pounds
2014 Stats: 82 catches, 1,165 receiving yards, 10 receiving touchdowns (14.2 yards per catch average)
Combine Results: 4.44 40-yard dash, 42-inch vertical, 123-inch broad jump
Draft Projection: Mid-first to mid-second round
Strengths: Has the physical build you want out of an NFL wide receiver and will make tough catches. Strong's best games in 2014 came against some of the tougher opponents on Arizona State's schedule, so he shows up often in big moments. Strong put up solid numbers in 2014, despite two different quarterbacks getting playing time last season and made plays on a variety of routes. Not a burner, but has good speed for his size and high-points the ball well.
Weaknesses: Strong has a tendency to not outrun defenders consistently, even though some of his plays were of the long variety. Some polishing on route-running needs to be had and Strong has a broken bone in his wrist that he is dealing with. Though he played through the injury last season, it's causing some teams to be wary and his stock could drop because of it.
Background: Strong is another underclassman that declared early and could be a good NFL receiver in a year or two. He'll make a lot of big plays, but might also disappear for stretches, given his 2014 college production and game-by-game stats. Strong could become a team's No.1 wideout, but those clubs might not want to lean on him as their go-to guy in his rookie season, given a little bit of work that he needs. There have been comparisons to Anquan Boldin and Dwayne Bowe, but if you're looking for a Bengals-related one, I'd say he's a faster Mohamed Sanu.
