The saga of La'el Collins has taken another surprising turn.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Collins may be planning to drop out of this draft and re-enter it next year if he's not picked on Day 2:
La'el Collins and his reps have decided if he's not selected tonight he will not sign a contract with a team and will renter draft next year

Collins was a lock for the first round before his ex-girlfriend was murdered prior to the draft, and police have been unable to speak with Collins to this point. As of now, Collins plans to speak with the police on Monday, but that's obviously after the draft has concluded.
Some teams have taken Collins off their board completely until this situation is resolved, even though police made it clear Collins is not a current suspect in his ex-girlfriend's murder.
I wouldn't anticipate his name being called tonight.
